natural exfoliator

A lemon salt scrub makes a great homemade natural exfoliator! It helps remove dead skin cells, prevent clogged pores, and reveal more youthful looking skin.

Best of all, it’s all natural and you only need two ingredients from your kitchen!

Benefits of Using a Natural Exfoliator

The combination of lemon and sea salt, makes for a great natural exfoliator. Lemons are powerful antioxidants and aid in removing dead skin cells. They are also beneficial for the ability to act as a skin toner and remove bacteria on the surface of the skin. Since sea salt is grainy substance, it makes for a great exfoliating scrub. At the same time, sea salt also aids in drawing out impurities from your skin.

This natural exfoliator will make your skin feel revived and refreshed as it removes dead skin cells and minimizes pores. It will also aid in increasing blood circulation.

Many who have problem skin can also benefit from exfoliating as it can help eliminate dirt and dead skin cells clogging pores. This scrub has also been very helpful for me to help minimize the appearance of dark spots and acne scars.

Using a lemon and salt natural exfoliator is great as you don’t have to worry about any harmful ingredients being absorbed into your body.  You can also adjust how gentle or rough you use it unlike micoderobrasion.

When to Use it and How Often

You can use this natural exfoliator daily, weekly, or just once a month depending on your skin type and the results you’re looking for.

When you use the lemon and salt scrub, you can start out gently exfoliating and see how your skin responds, particularly, if you have sensitive skin.

Lemon Natural Exfoliator Ingredients:

 – 1 Lemon (preferably freshly squeezed)

– 1 Tablespoon Sea Salt

Natural Exfoliator Directions:

1. Combine the salt and add in the freshly squeezed lemon juice until it forms a paste

2. Splash your face with lukewarm water

3. Apply the mixture with your fingers and rub in a circular motion

4. Rinse with warm water, then splash your face with cold water to close your pores

*You can also use this natural exfoliator by wetting a cotton ball/pad with lemon juice and then dip into the sea salt (it will stick to the wet pad), and rub the cotton pad in a circular motion

Does this also work on the rest of the body? Is it safe for other parts?
